Observe the reaction: The reaction I got from my poem was something I slightly expected to happen. I wanted to try to keep it light with a humorous intro/ending so that I could ease into the seriousness of what was being told and so that it didn't end on a sad note to show optimism in the message. I heard a few laughs at the beginning and end but I noticed a deafening silence during the serious parts.
Analysis of hypothesis with actual outcome: The reaction was very similar to what I predicted. Some laughter but mostly silence during the serious parts.
Propose changes to your idea based on what happened: I kept it short because I didn't want to seem like I was bashing my family but if I were to do it again, I'd probably make it longer. I love my family despite our faults and just wanted to stay on track with just labeling a true fear they have, and then move on. I would however, had talked more about my faults to lengthen it up.
